According to Fox Business, the "Avatar" sequel earned $134 million from North American theaters and $300.5 million internationally for a $434.5 million global debut. Going into the weekend many were expecting a domestic debut of at least $150 million.
Avatar 2's expected $415M-$435M global opening competes well with the $242.5M of the 2009 original - $336.5M when adjusted for inflation.
Avatar 2 has made over $2 billion at the box office.
